Terms of use

1. What InnerTale is

InnerTale is a personal journal assisted by artificial intelligence. You can write, dictate, or chat; the AI may ask follow-up questions and, when you close, draft a journal entry. Optional features include follow-up reminders, emotional evolution, and generated covers.

InnerTale is not a healthcare, psychological, or crisis service. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace professional help. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact emergency services or local help resources.

2. Who may use it

• You must be at least 16 years old. If your country sets a higher minimum age for this kind of service, you must meet that too.
• You need an account (email, Google, or Apple). Onboarding may start anonymously; the full journal requires a real account.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in confidential and for activity on your account.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of what you write, dictate, or enter into InnerTale (“your content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host it, process it with AI, and show it to you, only as needed to provide and improve the service (e.g. drafting entries, remembering context, generating covers, or, if you enable it, emotional scores).

You represent that you have the right to provide that content and that it does not infringe third-party rights or the law. Do not post illegal or abusive content, content that incites hatred, or content that puts children at risk.

4. Artificial intelligence

Replies, journal entries, summaries, charts, and covers are generated automatically and may contain errors, omissions, or incorrect interpretations. You should review the result; do not make medical, legal, or important decisions based only on the AI.

To provide these features we send necessary text to AI providers, as described in the privacy policy. The service may change provider or model without changing your rights over your content.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use InnerTale unlawfully or to harm others.
• Attempt to access other people’s accounts or data, or compromise the security of the service.
• Abuse the API, automate use in an abusive way, or overload the infrastructure.
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the service except as permitted by law.
• Use the product to surveil or track other people without their consent.

We may suspend or cancel access if we detect serious or repeated use contrary to these terms.

7. InnerTale intellectual property

The app, design, trademarks, software, and InnerTale materials (other than your content) are ours or our licensors’. These terms do not transfer rights in them to you beyond a personal, non-transferable license to use the service as set out here.

8. Availability and changes

InnerTale may be in early access or ongoing evolution. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, or fix bugs, with or without prior notice when reasonable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or the absence of faults.

9. Price

As of this version, InnerTale may be offered for free or as early access. If paid plans or in-app purchases are introduced later, we will tell you in the app or in the stores before charging, and Apple or Google terms will apply where relevant.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, InnerTale is provided “as is” and “as available”. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss arising from use of or inability to use the service, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow that limitation (e.g. non-waivable consumer rights).

In particular, we are not liable for decisions you make based on AI-generated text or charts, or for the emotional interpretation the system derives from your entries.

11. Cancellation and deletion

You can stop using InnerTale at any time. To delete your account and data, use You → Settings → Delete account, or follow the instructions at Delete account . Deactivation is immediate; permanent deletion happens after 30 days unless you cancel the process.

12. Governing law and claims

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you also benefit from the mandatory rules of your country of residence. For disputes, except as consumer law provides otherwise, the courts of A Coruña have jurisdiction; as a consumer you may bring claims in the courts of your domicile.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will publish the current version at this URL with the update date. If a change is material and you have an account, we will try to notify you in the app or by email when reasonable. Continued use after the new version takes effect means you accept it, unless the law requires express consent.
